Rule #2: What Can Be Done Today…

Thursday, February 25, 2010

…should be put off until tomorrow.

Once you admit that what you have to do is essentially crap, it’s not too far fetched to just go ahead and put it off until another day. I mean, if you are thinking about and planning to do something, and not doing it right now, then it can certainly be put off until you feel like it.

This rule’s motto is “I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.”

Rule #1: It’s Not That Important

Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Rule #1 of PTO: It’s Not That Important. Whatever you’re working on, no matter how big you think it is, is probably not all that important, and can actually wait until later for you to do. Just because you have an iPhone, a MacBook, and a case of Moleskines doesn’t mean you have important work. In fact, you would probably be better served by doing something fun, like twittering or playing a stupid farm game on Facebook.

Admit it, your crap is unimportant.
